As the home of the internationally renowned Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia is a unique venue for functions, meetings and celebrations – and it’s never looked better! The new-look CYCA Clubbhouse, fresh from a renovation that finished in October 2018, is something that will satisfy the needs of the pickiest Members and guests – including state-of-the-art facilities, enhanced marina and parkland views.
Just 10 minutes from the Sydney CBD and steeped in sailing history, the Club is situated between green parklands and quiet, inner harbour waters with views over the bustling marina to the Sydney city skyline. The CYCA offers full function co-ordination services and award-winning cuisine from Blond Catering for a wide range of functions – meetings, corporate functions, weddings, cocktail parties, presentations and more.
The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia has two main function rooms (Freya Room and Morna Room) which are available with views overlooking the marina towards the the Harbour bridge.
These two rooms can be used separately for small- and medium-sized functions with the option of combining them to create one large function area which is able to seat 220 people and for cocktail functions can accommodate over 300.
There is also A/V equipment which can be hired to during functions.
